Its unplanned ok. Went to porstmouth yesterday afternoon. Its 200th anniversary of Lord Admiral Horatio Nelson's victory against the combined fleets of France and Spain at the Battle of Trafalgar. Plus, the home of the Royal Navy and Nelson's Flagship HMS Victory, the Historic Dockyard at Portsmouth, England, are hosting this tremendous event during the International Festival of the Sea 2005, with many 100's of naval warships & majestic tall-ships in attendance from all corners of the globe. I enjoyed the company of tis guy - martin. He's charming n funny at times. :lol_crash: :owned: :angel_fly:
Back to Admiral Lord Nelson, on Monday, October, 21st, 1805, he had written this prayer in his diary which later become so familiar.
"May the Great God, whom I worship, grant to my Country and for the benefit of Europe in general a great and glorious victory, and may no misconduct in anyone tarnish it, and may humanity after victory be the predominant feature in the British Fleet. For myself individually, I commit my life to Him who had made me and may His blessing light upon my endeavours for serving my Country faithfully. To Him I resign myself and the just cause which is entrusted me to defend. Amen, amen, amen."
May we never forget that others have died that we may live...
